About This Wine:

Puppy Series -
The wines in this series offer both excellent value and universal appeal. Each release features an original drawing of a puppy as created by artist Jay P. Snellgrove. Many different breeds will be showcased.

Label Art -
The “Puppy Series” wine labels feature original Portraits illustrated by Jay P. Snellgrove. Our second edition features a Golden Retriever puppy. See the Art Gallery for limited hand signed and numbered giclee print reproductions of the original artwork, available for sale to art collectors and dog lovers alike.

The Causes -
A portion of our sales revenue on all wines, art, and merchandise is split equally between Canine Companions For Independence and the Morris Animal Foundation's Cure Canine Cancer Campaign.

We also make additional donations on selected wines to great causes such as the Alie Foundation  and the Colorado Greyhound Adoption in order to provide both awareness and funding.

Tasting Notes Update-
Luscious aromas of Meyer lemon, hazelnut and every garden flower I can think of. Broad, rich middle. On the palate, from start to finish, I get all the flavors of a fine, complex, raw honey (though, amazingly, the wine is bone dry). Long lingering finish of honey-coated toasted hazelnuts. This wine is only partially barrel-fermented, so the very light oak component of the flavor profile balances the fruit and floral, rather than overwhelms it. I could sip on this wine all night long. But I'd better not.

Tasting Notes:

In case you’ve never had the pleasure, when a beekeeper removes the top of a honeybee hive a rush of warm air is released, treating the keeper to the most exquisite aroma of honey and pollen and nectar – all things floral. My first sniff of the 2006 Cru Vin Dogs Chardonnay after bottling instantly reminded me of that glorious aroma. I attribute much of that to the very special Dijon Selections of chardonnay in this wine, which tend to show much more flowery finesse than flashy tropical. The flavors and texture of this wine echo the incredible nose – a rich honey-d texture (though the wine is bone dry) is rounded out with touches of pear, toasted almonds and Meyer lemon. If you know of a better chardonnay for the price please let me know… 100% Chardonnay 100% Dry Creek Valley Alc. = 14.5% 1,455 Cases produced Tony Wasowicz, Winemaker, April, 2008
